I'm Philip Hartley and Pier Photography is my company. I have been a photographer for ever, well since I was fifteen. I have always loved art, went to art school and then went on to get an honours degree in art photography. After my training I began a career as a press photographer and then became a magazine photographer.

The company is called Pier Photography because I had my wedding reception on the end of Bournemouth Pier. This was when it all fell into place for me. Weddings hold such beautiful stories within them, you just have to tune into them to see them unfold. For me photography is about using the skills I have learnt over the last twenty years to tell the story of your day.

I am a total perfectionist in what I do and love every minute of it. I focus on creating unique artistic images at every wedding I photograph.
